Karena dianggap sebagai perusak (biang kerok), Pengki akhirnya dipecat oleh majikannya. Walau semula luntang-lantung, tapi kemudian Pengki mendapat keberuntungan dengan diangkatnya dia sebagai pembantu peramal Wan Bakar. Pada waktu mantan majikannya nyaris bangkrut, bertemulah dengan Pengki yang menyamar sebagai peramal Wan Bakar dan memberikan jalan keluarnya. Cara Pengki yang licik akhirnya menjadi duri dalam daging bagi Wan Bakar yang kemudian mengusir Pengki dengan cara mengawinkan dengan gadis idamannya.
