Nyi Ageng ( Suzanna) semakin dewasa, ia semakin mampu melihat dan merasakan bahwa kaumnya yang lemah sering menjadi korban kesewenangan lelaki. Ibunya sendiri telah menjadi korban kelakuan ayahnya, Raden Permana (Him Damsyik) yang memiliki banyak istri. Adik perempuannya ditinggal dalam keadaan hamil oleh lelaki yang akhirnya meninggal. Nyi Ageng dipaksa kawin dengan pemuda kaya yang kemudian meninggal secara misterius. Sementara, Sastro (Soenjoto Adibroto) orang kepercayaan ayahnya sudah mempunyai istri, secara diam-diam mencintai Nyi Ageng dengan segala cara. Begitu pula para mandor perkebunan ayahnya ingin menidurinya. Namun Nyi Ageng menaruh simpati pada Broto (Barry Prima) yang sopan dan setia kepada orang tuanya. Dialah yang akhirnya menyelamatkan Nyi Ageng dari kejaran Sastro.
