Ray adalah seorang penulis cerita horor yang sangat terobsesi dalam menulis. Suatu ketika ia secara tidak sengaja telah membunuh istrinya. Daari hasil persidangan, disimpulkan bahwa Ray dianggap menderita gangguan jiwa.
Suatu hari Ray berhasil melarikan diri dari rumah sakit jiwa. Dalam pelariannya, dia memasuki sebuah rumah besar dan menyandera wanita penghuni rumah tersebut. Akhirnya terungkap bahwa wanita itu baru saja membunuh suaminya yang kasar dan suka berselingkuh. Akhirnya polisi berhasil melacak Ray dalam keadaan ketakutan.
